STACY MANUEL, MAT

Hi! My name is Stacy and I'm one of the the co-owners of Little Farmhouse Preschool. I'm originally from Southern California but made Northern California my home 10.5 years ago and I absolutely love it here. I'm married to an amazing man named Darvin. He is not only my husband but also my best friend, my biggest fan and my number one supporter. Darvin and I have two beautiful children together- Austin (7) and Brooklyn (4). As a family, we love to read books together, exercise, work in our yard and garden, and travel. Education is extremely important to our family!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University Long Beach. While I was completing my undergrad, I spent my free time tutoring middle school and high school students in math. After college, I worked in the marketing field for several years but soon realized that my passion was in teaching. I lived for that "aha" moment with students. I decided to follow my heart and earned a Masters Degree in Teaching from the University of Southern California (USC). I have a Multiple Subject teaching credential and worked in classrooms at the early elementary school level while I was in graduate school.

After my son was born, I decided to stay home full-time with him. Being his mama and helping him learn and grow inspired me to put my focus on Early Childhood Education. I believe that early childhood education helps develop skills that build a strong foundation in young children for future success in school and in life. My goal for our preschool is to provide a safe environment with a quality and diverse education that is fun for our students. I want to work with you, the parents, to build a strong relationship so that we can meet your goals and your child's needs. I look forward to getting to know you better and welcoming you into our Little Farmhouse Preschool family!

All the best,

Stacy

ABOUT LITTLE FARMHOUSE PRESCHOOL

Our school started with sisters-in-law, Stacy and Christina (Tina) coming together and combining their love for teaching and their dream of bringing high-quality early education to as many children as possible.

Little Farmhouse Preschool is an inclusive school, so we accept all students, including those with divergent needs. We provide accommodations for students that meet their individual needs. For example, students with physical disabilities have special equipment throughout our center, indoors and outdoors, to allow them full autonomy while being as safe as possible. We also have several students with Speech Language disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We work with the families and our students’ therapists to provide accommodations that align with the services they are receiving outside of school. This can include visual sheets or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices as well as behavior tools. We also provide other accommodations such as fidgets and accommodated schedules for our Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) students to allow them the tools needed to learn and focus. We welcome outside support services and look for opportunities to collaborate to provide the most comprehensive care and education for each child with special needs.

Our preschool teachers follow the philosophy of the Supportive Inclusive Early Learning Plan for California. We have been trained and coached in the modules of the California Teaching Pyramid approach, an inclusive systemic framework that promotes healthy social and emotional development for all children. Through these supports, we will continue to strengthen our knowledge to provide optimal care and education to all of our students.

With this commitment, we have been able to see how we can further enhance support and opportunities for children with diverse needs. Our curriculum includes many sensory activities, such as gardening and caring for our farm animals. These activities support all students including those with Autism in creating emotional bonds, developing cognitive and language skills, and providing sensory benefits.

CHRISTINA MORNEAU

Hello! My name is Christina, but most people call me Tina. I am a co-owner of Little Farmhouse Preschool. I am a proud mama of two little boys- Dustin (4) and Owen (3) and 2 friendly loving adopted pups. I love the dynamic of my family and how there is never a dull moment in our home. My husband Drew is my rock and my best friend. Together we are silly, sarcastic, and blessed that we have each other...he is my High School sweetheart. My family and I love to get in touch with nature and explore new locations. We love food and enjoy finding new places to eat. At home we love spending quality time as a family watching movies, reading books, working on our garden, and experimenting with new recipes that help bring us closer together.

When I was younger, I always wanted to work with kids. I'm passionate about caring for and educating young children. I feel that kids and parents are comfortable with me because I am authentic, honest, and nurturing. I understand every child and family is different, your needs are important to me and I strive to make sure you feel safe. As a new mother, I love that motherhood bonds us women together in so many ways!

I have worked with children for over 9 years in a Preschool and Childcare Center and have my Associate Teacher certification. My ultimate goal is to provide a caring place where your child can grow, learn, and thrive. This is such an important time in their life and I am always happy to discuss your goals, needs, and concerns for your child. I absolutely love connecting with families and would love the opportunity to get to know you better!

Take care,
Tina
