My Educational Background & Expertise

  • Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT): Earned from the University of Southern California (USC).

  • Classroom Experience: Worked in early elementary classrooms and spent years tutoring middle and high school math.

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Completed a B.S. in Business Administration at California State University, Long Beach.

  • Corporate Background: Spent several years working in corporate marketing before following my true passion into full-time teaching.

My Philosophy: Building a Strong Foundation

My true passion for Early Childhood Education ignited after the birth of my first child. I firmly believe that the early years are critical for developing the essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills that build a foundation for lifelong success.

At Little Farmhouse Preschool, my goal is to blend a high-quality, diverse curriculum with hands-on fun. I view parents as our vital partners. I look forward to collaborating closely with you to meet your family's unique goals and support your child's natural curiosity.

Life Outside the Classroom

Originally from Southern California, I have proudly called Northern California home since 2013. I am happily married to my best friend and biggest supporter, Darvin. Together, we have two wonderful children, Austin and Brooklyn. When I am not at the preschool, you can find our family reading together, exercising, traveling, or tending to our farm and backyard garden.

Warmly,
Stacy Manuel, MAT

ABOUT LITTLE FARMHOUSE PRESCHOOL

Our Story & Vision

Little Farmhouse Preschool began with a shared dream between sisters-in-law, Stacy and Christina (Tina). By combining their deep love for teaching and extensive educational expertise, they set out to bring high-quality, nurturing early education to families in our community.

Together, they designed a unique, farm-based learning environment where every child feels valued, safe, and inspired to discover the world around them.

Fully Inclusive Early Learning

We proudly operate a fully inclusive school, welcoming all children and celebrating divergent learning needs. We believe every child deserves full autonomy, safety, and a joyful learning experience. To support this commitment, we seamlessly integrate tailored accommodations into our daily routines:

  • Physical Accessibility: Custom indoor and outdoor specialized equipment ensures children with physical disabilities can navigate our space with total independence.

  • Neurodivergent & Sensory Supports: We provide specialized tools like fidgets and implement flexible, accommodated schedules to help our students with ADHD focus and thrive.

  • Collaborative Special Needs Care: For students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Speech-Language disorders, we welcome outside support services. We collaborate directly with your child's therapists to integrate visual sheets, behavior tools, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices into their school day.

Proven Educational Frameworks

Our teaching methods are grounded in the highest state standards for early childhood development.

  • Supportive Inclusive Early Learning Plan: Our entire curriculum is closely aligned with this definitive California framework.

  • The California Teaching Pyramid Approach: Our educators are fully trained and coached in this evidence-based systemic framework. It focuses entirely on promoting healthy social, emotional, and behavioral development for all preschool children.

Hands-On, Farm-Based Curriculum

Children learn best when they can touch, see, and interact with nature. Our specialized curriculum emphasizes rich sensory activities that provide immense cognitive and emotional benefits for all children—especially our neurodivergent students:

  • Interactive Gardening: Children dig, plant, and grow their own fruits and vegetables, boosting fine motor and language skills.

  • Therapeutic Farm Animal Care: Tending to our resident farm animals helps students build strong emotional bonds, lowers anxiety, and provides a soothing, natural sensory outlet.

My Philosophy: A Safe Space to Grow

My passion for educating young children has been a lifelong calling, and it deepened even further when I became a mother. I love the natural bond that motherhood creates among parents, and I bring that empathy into the classroom every single day.

At Little Farmhouse Preschool, my ultimate goal is to provide a warm, secure, and caring environment where your child can grow, learn, and truly thrive. Early childhood is such a milestone chapter in life. I view our relationship with you as a collaborative journey, and I am always happy to discuss how we can best support your child's needs.

Life Outside the Classroom

I am the proud mama of two energetic little boys, Dustin and Owen, and two friendly, loving adopted pups. My home is full of life and laughter! My husband Drew is my high school sweetheart, my rock, and my best friend. As a family, we love connecting with nature, exploring new locations, and tracking down great local food. At home, you can find us watching movies, reading, gardening, and experimenting with fun new recipes in the kitchen.

Take care,
