Welcome to Little Farmhouse Preschool!
Little Farmhouse Preschool uses play-based, hands-on learning that follows a quality educational curriculum as part of our pedagogy. We believe that play-based learning encourages language skills, supports pre-literacy skills, develops social and emotional skills, and fosters creativity and imagination. Here we combine indoor and outdoor learning for children. We understand how important outdoor learning is and that it provides children with hands-on learning experiences in nature. Children will be able to grow fruits and vegetables in our garden and care for animals on our little farm, which will help cultivate a love for nature. Research shows that children that spend time in nature are more creative, are better problem solvers, perform better in academics and can relate better to peers.
Our Mission Statement:
Little Farmhouse Preschool will provide hands-on learning opportunities in a safe environment that will help children grow and develop in and out of the classroom.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be making adaptations and modifications to our planned program to ensure the health and safety of our students, families and teachers. Everyone's health and safety is our top priority. The majority of our school day will be conducted outdoors in an outdoor classroom. We have a beautiful outdoor space, so we will be taking this time to use it as much as possible. The fresh air will help ensure we stay safe. During the limited indoor time, teachers will be wearing masks that are fun and colorful and not scary to children.
We will be implementing best practices for hygiene. Children will wash their hands upon entering the school, which is part of our normal routine. Shoes will be removed at the door, which is also part of our normal routine. There will be a sign-in/sign-out sheet outside for parents as we are asking to drop off students at the door to limit the number of people entering our building. Please bring your own pen, if possible. Maintain social distancing during drop-off and pick-up with other students and parents. Temperature checks will be taken each morning for teachers and students. There will be no outside toys permitted at school. We will provide pre-bagged snacks/food and bottles of water (no water bottles from home please).
Only healthy children will be permitted at school. Normally we allow minor colds and coughs at school, but not at this time during the pandemic. If we have any concerns about a child's health, we will error on the side of caution and send the child home. Please have a plan in place for your child to be picked up quickly in case the need should arise.
We are asking parents who have had direct contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks to not send your kids to school for a minimum of 2 weeks and provide paperwork from their pediatrician showing a negative result from a COVID-19 test.
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate through these uncertain times.
